Sale of Work Raising 170,000 RMB for Western Students --Banquet for Sale of Work
In the evening of December 17, in Tianjin Grand Hyatt hotel, more than 100 businessmen from Taiwan and Directors from Taiwan Affair Office in provinces of Qinghai, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Gansu and Inner-Mongolia attended the banquet for sale of work for the poor western students, which was also for commemorating Mr. Sayling Wen. The enthusiasm of the cross-strait compatriots touched everyone who was present.

The sale of work was promoted by Taiwan Affair Office Tianjin Branch, Tianjin Taiwan-Invested Enterprises Association, Town and Talent Technologies (China) Co., LTD and Nan Kai International Management Forum. Dr. Kenny Lin, schoolmate of Mr. Sayling Wen in Electronic School Taiwan University provided 30 scenery photographs of his own work, and Dr. Zeng Xianzhang also offered his works. Nan Kai International Management Forum presented 22 Yang Liuqing New-Year Pictures, the classic folk-custom artwork of Tianjin. Dr. Kenny Lin, CEO of Town and Talent Technologies, Professor Luo Mingqi of Nan Kai International Management Forum, Ding Kunhua, Chairman of Tianjin Taiwan-Invested Enterprises Association, Liu Jianying, Deputy Director of Taiwan Affair Office Tianjin Branch, respectively delivered speech, extending appreciation for all guests and expressing hope for active participation. The sale of work, proceeding in a very fervor atmosphere, raised 176,300 RMB, a result of the guests' generosity filled with love and care for the poor western students. All the money from the sale will be donated to the students in the western impoverished regions through the platform of 'Care for the West' column on the website of Town and Talent Technologies. The activity was aimed for carrying on Mr. Wen's principle of ' Town and Talent, Benefiting the Other' and making the care and love spread to more poor students in more remote areas.
The platform of 'Care for the West', a free electronic public-benefit platform sponsored by Town and Talent Technologies (China) Co., LTD, intended to carry out the good deeds from the whole society for impoverished areas in a more open, transparent and effective way. Besides this activity, Nan Kai International Management Forum, Taiwan Hualian Growth Center, Living Knowledge Communities have carried out their projects of caring for the west through the platform and achieved great success, including TV contests, training for more than 20 times, training from foreign experts for more than10 times, more than 500 persons from all walks of life communicating with the schools in the west and providing more than financial aid of 200,000 RMB to 51 member schools. After this event, it is expected that there will be more persons to do good deeds through the platform.
With the principle of 'Benefiting for Others', 'Care for the West' not only encourages benefactors to offer their care, but also to participate in the public welfare activities like planting trees, taking care of lonely elders, promoting protection of environment in those places, which are beneficial for local students' perseverance. All the sponsors and schools consented to the act. It is expected that there will be more people participate in this platform.
