2007 International Schools CyberFair, the world’s largest web site designing competition, published the winners list in May 26. Twelve member schools of Town& Talent Technologies CO., LTD (TTT) all won prizes, including 1 gold, 4 silver and 7 honorable prizes. This year, as many as 373 schools from 45 countries took part in this competition.
Since 1995, the International Schools CyberFair holds annually. It encourages students to care living environment, explore community development and human features, communicate through internet and share study experience. There are eight categories of research topics in this competition: local leaders, community groups & special populations, local business, local specialties, local attractions (natural & man made), historical landmarks, environmental awareness, and local music and art. The competition lasted from Oct, 2006 to Mar. 2007. In the last ten years, it attracted more than one million students from 100 countries to take part in, which is the largest global web site designing competition in Guinness Records.
In 2006 International Schools CyberFair, three TTT member schools won silver prizes, which was their first year to take part in this competition. This year, they accumulated more experience and twelve member schools all won prizes, with one gold prize as historical breakthrough. By participating this competition, many students and teachers learned to do research, interview, write report and receive knowledge beyond textbook. Also, they introduced local specialties and customs to the outside world via internet.
