From Dec 21 to 24 of 2007, Western Education Forum and Educational Strategy Conference were held in YSRICC in Gulang County of Gansu Province. The forum was co-organized by National Education Development Research Center, National Education Stragety Association, Gansu Educational Bureau, Lanzhou Jiaotong University, Tomorrow Technologies Co., ltd. The present officials were Mr. Fei Zhi-rong, the head of Western Development Group of State Counsil; Mr. Zhang Li, the director of National Education Development Research Center; Ms. Wang Ping, the vice-president of Gansu Educational Bureau and hundreds of representative from technological and educational fields.
In the conference, Mr. Peng Hai-na, on behalf of TTT, gave a report about the development mode in Yellow Sheep River, and shared the experience of western educational development. The value of YSR development mode had been the hot issue during the conference. All the representatives believed that it was great exploration of nurturing talents in western China, which was beneficial for the promotion of western economic development.
YSR development mode was to connect western and eastern regions by using internet, which made agricultural society transform directly into information society, and thus the western regions could get rid of poverty. In Jul of 2001, when Mr. Sayling Wen, the creator of YSR development mode, discussed information society with American friends, his idea was considered as the “Method to get rid of poverty” by the Tofflers.
During the conference, Mr. Zhang Yun-yang, the CEO of Tomorrow Technologies, sent three series of cartoon named Moon in Qin Dynasty, Happy Cat and Hundreds of Intellectuals to officials in educational department in 12 provinces. Those national cartoons would be the gifts for children in western regions. After the conference, the officials visited cartoon museum and confirmed the hard effort made by the company.
On the 4the Jinlong Chinese Cartoon ceremony held in Guangdong in Jan 19 of 2008, the Moon in Qin Dynasty was awarded the Best Cartoon, Best Cartoon Song, and Most Popular Cartoon. At the same time, it won the top official prizes and excellent cartoon authorized by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.
