The winner list of International Schools CyberFair 2008 was issued on May 26 of 2008. TTT organized 31 schools to participate in the activity. 31 works were on the list, including two platinum prizes, four golden, six silver and 19 honorable prize.
International Schools CyberFair is an award-winning, authentic learning program used by schools and youth organizations around the world since 1995. Youth conduct research and publish their findings on the Web. Recognition is given to the best projects in each of eight categories: local leaders, businesses, community organizations, historical landmarks, environment, music, art, and local specialties. The activity last from Oct to next Mar. in the past ten years, more than one million students from 100 countries have participated in the competition.
Two platinum winners are named Paper-cut Artist-Zhang Lixue from Taole No. 1 Middle School and Never Fade Green from Pancheng Middle School. This is the first time mainland schools get platinum prize. Especially, Pancheng Middle School participated in the competition for the first time.
TTT has organized member schools to participate in Cyber Fair for three tims. In the first time, three schools got silver prizes; in the second time, all the 12 schools got prize, with one golden prize; in the third time, 31 schools got prizes, with two platinum prizes, four golden, six silver and 19 honorable prize. Based on the experience of participating Cyber Fair for two years, TTT organized training program for teachers. The students and teachers paid much attention on doing research, interviewing and making websites. By participating in this activity, students learn to communicate and cooperate with others, and knowledge beyond textbooks. Their hometowns are introduced to the whole world. All the member schools expressed their willing to participate in the next Cyber Fair.
