It was a sunny day on 21st Oct 2011, in
the morning we had a field investigation along the Yellow River bank
and the dustbins
there. We gained a lot through the investigation and found some
problems that need to be solved urgently.
The problems that we found as follow:
(A) The grasses were seriously affected by the increasing rubbish on
the lawn, their vitality was hardly found. What was worse, the
surrounding people’s normal lives were broken into a mess because of
the rubbish odor. Consequently, people were no long getting relaxed
there, also dragonflies and butterflies were too difficult to trace
after. All these resulted of the severe damage the ecological
environment along the Yellow River bank. And it was getting worse.
We were so sad looking at all these, and questioned ourselves that
how could we ignore them and do nothing?
(B) Due to people’s weak environmental consciousness, all kinds of
rubbish have been littered at their disposal, such as fast food
boxes, plastic bags, bottles, foam, and even the corpses of the
poultry could be seen. The beautiful and cozy lawn has gone far,
instead, it has been covered with the appallingly terrible rubbish
of notorious odors. Morality has failed to defend for the people
beautifying themselves at the prices of contaminating the grasses.
We seemed to hear the grasses crying in grief.
