In Hehuang's shadow play, the instruments used are divided into large instrument and small instrument. The former includes gong, drum and cymbal. Of which the gong is of the big one and small one. And the drum is also nicknamed dry drum for the hitting on it sounds crisp and clear. While the latter covers three-stringed instrument, four-stringed instrument, hollowware, clapper and suona.
