In early 20th century, most people lived in poverty and many were struggled between living and death. The livelihood education contained scientific research, trail farms, livestock breed improving, insects avoiding, chicken raising and etc. He organized farmers to build supply and marketing cooperatives to promote local economic activities. The aim of livelihood education was to cure impoverishment and increase productivity.
