In order to pay the tuition of my younger brother and I, my parents work as migrant labors in other province. Several days ago, my father went to work in Inner Mongolia. My mother stays at home because of sickness. Everyday, she gets up early and goes to bed later. She pay much attention to our study, which influences us a lot.

In a remote and poor mountain village, the only income of my parents is doing farm work. However, it happened that the harvest is bad for two years. My father has to work as migrant labor in coal mines and my mother stays at home to take after of children. Their only hope is to earn more money for our tuition fees.
Today, my father is going to work in other province. Mum puts his quilts, several clothes and shoes into a big bag. I prepare a bag of milk powder, my elder sister prepares a bag of steamed bread, and my younger brother prepares some socks. We push all those things into the big bag. We hope daddy can come back safely.

In rural areas, sweater is a kind of clothe that withstands hard wear. Our sweaters are weaved by my mother. Because the sale price of a sweater in shop is about 30 or 40 yuan, it is more expensive than the cost price. If we buy the wool, we just need to spend ten yuan. Thus, in order to save money, nearly all of our sweaters are weaved by my mother. If a sweater is wore out, my mother tears it open and weaved a new one in another style.

In sunny days, we usually go to Huangcao Po to pick up Yuelao, which is a kind of wild plants. It looks like wheat stalk, but much thinner. The only usage of Yuelao is to plunge into broom.
Our self-made brooms can be compared to be craftwork. We can use them both in campus and villages. It’s economical and endurable.
Broom, made of Yuelao”

Broom is one of necessities in our life. We use it to clean the yards and campus. It is made of Yuelao, which is a kind of wild plants. Before making broom, we need to prepare some tools, including a wood stick, iron wiry, threads, and Jiji grass. Firstly, burn the root of Jiji grass and get rid of the outers kin. And then, fix the grass with iron wiry and thread.
It’s very common to see brooms in each family and campus. The boys in our class are good at making brooms.

Winter comes. Our campus is covered with snow. Because of financial problem, we can’t bear burning mine. When winter comes, our teacher leads us to pick up brushwood on the mountains, which improves our working ability and expands our extra-curricular activities.

After seeing my habit, each village tells me to eat it after being raised. I am quite angry with their words. I wonder whether the relationship between human being and animal is eating and being eaten. I believe that animals have their own minds and feeling. In such a law of jungle, we hope there is respect and equality.
I ever heard a story like this, when yaks passed slaughter house, they roared together. I wonder whether it is a kind of expression. Human being should learn to respect animals. Nonetheless, I won’t kill the rabbits.

Other story
It’s six o’clock in the morning. We are awoken by a sudden sound of knocking at the door. We hurry getting up. However, the socks and clothes are missing.
After piling up quilts and putting on cloths, we begin to wash faces and brush teeth. We finish it in only one minute and then run towards our classroom.
Now we don’t need teacher to knock at the door. Some classmates even get up as early as four o'clock in the morning. in the cold classroom, they study in the light of candle.
In today’s society, we have realized the importance of studying. Only knowledge can change our destiny. Thus, we must work hard and create the future by ourselves.

In our village, the most remarkable buildings are three flat rooms. As our villages is located in remote mountain areas, the students in grade one and two have to study in schools run by the local people.
We go to school in a narrow mountain road. The campus gate is old and shabby, with rusty locks on.

In our school, there are only three shabby rooms and a earth wall. There are five or six long narrow tables in the classroom, in which the shabbiest one is teacher’s desk. The blackboard is formed by cement. Several great figures’ pictures are pasted on the wall. After the door, there are two old brooms and a broken rope skipping. Those are the children’s tools for cleaning and doing sports.
Our school-only classroom

Though the classroom is shabby, it‘s clean and tidy. Everyone cherishes the classroom as it’s the only school in our village. There are only six students. The young woman teacher works diligently and treats us as her children.
