EDEN Social Welfare Foundation Synopsis

    EDEN Social Welfare Foundation aims to develop social welfare work in Taiwan and across Taiwan Strait, including helping physically challenged people and remote schools. For twenty-seven years, EDEN Foundation has never stopped its support for educational development of schools across Taiwan Strait – building up dining halls, improving the conditions of toilets, constructing playgrounds, and providing teaching aid.

By means of campus construction, tutoring, and home visits, EDEN Foundation helps students to higher their motivations, to finance their schools, to improve their study environments, and to cultivate schools’ awareness of hygiene education and environmental protection. The foundation’s service covers Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Shanxi, Hebei, Yunnan, Xinjiang, Neimenggu, etc. The foundation has helped 4,103 students to have the study opportunities.     

The financial sources of EDEN Foundation are made of three parts: donations from good-hearted people, profits from special workshops for physically challenged people, and compensations from Taiwan government.

Now the annually raised fund reaches one billion RMB, and 85% is directly used to service objects.
