National invested baling lake farmland

    National invested baling lake farmland was at the 72 kilometers to the south of yinchuan city, 12 kilometers to wuzhong city south suburb. To its northeast, there is bronze gorge water reservation, It covers wuzhong ,lingwu, bronze gorge county. It enjoys vast territory with water and mountain over hundred li. To its west, there is huanghe river. To its south, is niushou mountain. To its north, it the rich soil of south yinchuan city. To its east, it the vast grassland. Centered by the yard, it spread like a fan from south to east, forming the three different geographic positions including, mountainous area, along the mountain area and water areas.

    Water area was the elite of the farmland, where is the yard and basic farmland area. Right now it has 29498.40 mu with the scope of 8 kilometers from north to south, 5 kilometers from east to west with the height over the horizon 1126—1130 meters.

    Along the mountain area is the stockbreeding area, with the grassland area 4840 thousand mu, divided by the east mountain herding group and the west mountain herding group. The former is scattered at the combination of lingwu city, wuzhong city, and yanchi county. It has the total area of 298000 mu as the farmerland thin fur sheep breeding basis. The latter one is at the southern area of bronze gorge county with 190000 mu, where is feeding ningxia tan sheep famous home and abroad.

   The farmland traffic is very convenient, with baolan highway through it; wuhuan highway at its east, jinshi highway crossing it.  

    At the end of 1993, farmland has the area of 523300 mu, in which, arable land aer 27891 mu with 9052 peopl. Hui group people accounted for the 71.6% and employers 3998. which is named as “ the first national hui group farmland”  

    The farmland is at the huanghe river irrigation at the southern ningxia province. its characters is longtime sunshine, strong radiation, longtime cold winter, short summer hot, early cold in fall, small quantity of rain, strong wind and sand, and easy to vapour. The average temperature is 8.8℃ whole year.  

In the spring of 1954, national investment lingwu farmland send 23 cadres and technicians to balang lake to research for building. At the same year, ningxia agriculture forest office announced that change the name of the lingwu farmland branch in balang lake to baling lake machine farmland. Since then , ba lang lake people start their own hard creating history in this deserted soil.

With the impact of the market economic wave, now ba lang lake farmland has been renamed as ningxia farmland ba lang lake limited company. It works hardly to the target: hundred of thousand green vegetable, good quality cow and best breeding selling market .
