At ni          At night of 22nd in February , we finally saw Wang Hongxi and his farmer painting works in Touzha Village in Pingluo Town . His works released an original beauty of life with exaggerated but simple expressive means . Hongxi told us his ideas pointing to a picture and explaining : What i drew was sun telepathy . Why couldn't i drew two suns on the ground?

At             At the whole night , we talked about paintings ,dreams and life as we wanted to know the real implicature of farmer painting through our chattiing . He said : since that was my first time to go to Beijing in 1980s , i had many embrassed things . Let me say in more details . Everytime when he talked about his farmer paintings , he was so exicited to jump off the kang and talking about it with gestures.

Jul            Just like most of successful farmers Wang hongxi had experienced strugglling and mocks by others He dropped from school to do farmland works after graduating from high school in 1972 which was a turbulant age . Since he did not have access to college, he leant farmland works while learning to be a decorator . One day , he was inspired by the incredible news which changed his lifetime about a Shanxi farmer whose painting was exhibited in Beijing Art Gallery broadcast on radio and Wang Hongxi has decided to learn paingting ever since . He did his field work in daytime and drew pictures about his work , life orjoy of harvests at nights . In 1983 , he signed up for a farmer painting class orgnized by Pingluo cultural exhibitin center and learnt crazily . After ending of this class , guided by his teacher , he created a painting called chicken farmer which was introduced to Beijing by Autonomous Region Cultural Department and was exihibited in National Art Gallery .

   
It            It was this exhibition that consolidated his confidence to be a farmer painter and enlightend him to lead the framers in the whole town to create farmer paintings . In 1997 , Wang Hongxi made an exception to be elevated to be a member in Town Cuotural Station with his remarkable achievements . Although he has been a official , he was still a farmer in his bones .At the same winter , he began his journey for his dream by orgnizing 8 farmers to create farmer painting with a production of about 50 works that year .

In              In 1998 , after Wang Hongxi orgnized the First Pingluo Farmer Painting Exhibition on the Pingluo Qiyi Square , many farmers joined his team encouraged by this exhibition .

              From 1998 to 2006 , his team - Pingluo folk painting team host 7 Folk Painting Exhibitions at Autonomous Region , Shi Zuishan and Pingluo with many works winning prizes in towns ,regions and cities .

              In 2009 , Pingluo Town was awarded as Folk cultural arts Town by Cultural Department , which made Wang Hongxi and villagers think their efforts were worthy .
