Pingluo edition of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival

        Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival- Pingluo Ancient city has been finished for more than a half for ten years by Wang Hongxi who intended to show the prosperity in Qing dynasty again . On 5th , August at the National Farmer Paintng Exhibition in Yinchuan Cultural Center , Wang Hongxi disclosed to the journalist that this painting which was 50meters in length and 1meter in width would show in his painting exhibition in Yinchuan .

       Wang Hongxi dropped from school to do farmland works after graduating from junior school in 1973 which was a turbulant age . One day , he was inspired by the news that a Shanxi farmer painting was exhibited in Beijing Art Gallery broadcast on radion and he has decided to learn paingting ever since . He did his field work in daytime and drew pictures about his work , life or joy of harvests at nights . In 1983 when he knew that the Cultural department would host the first National Farmer Painting Exhibition , he created a painting called chicken farmer which was introduced to Beijing by Autonomous Region Cultural Department and was exihibited in National Art Gallery . At the same September , he was invited to Bejing as well . He was so exicited as he could show his work in National Art Gallery in Beijing as an original simple farmer form a farmer family .This is more incredible than a dream for him , since then , he has sticked to farmer paintings . In 1996 After match , prosperity , rural land , won excellent prizes selected by Cultural Comission in the farmer's painting exhibition . The same prize also went to the work gerocomium in our village recently . Five works created by him and his sons Wang Xuejun and Wang Xuegang jointly , including fried dough twist lingering hometown , sleepless cultural station , excellent species , farmer's night school and early spring in mountaineous areas have been selected to be exhibited in National Farmer Painting Exhibition in Yinchuan .

        Wang Hongxi told journalist happily that he did not waste his lifetime on painting as he has been a staff in cultural station in Touzha Town with a technical title of deputy researcher , benefited from the support from leaders and policies . While painting , he also fostered more than 50 farmer painters inchuding Yang Xiaomei who attended this Painting Exhibition .

Enabl     Enabling more people to have a direct and deep recognition to the cultural accumulation of Pingluo for more than 200 years , Wang Hongxi started creating Pongluo ancient city in 2003 after investigation .With the help of his two sons , this painting which descriped the scenary from Heaven Emporer Palace to the South City Wall, reflecting the local conditions and customs , commerce and trade of different social classas from scenes of shangshou , vegetable vendors and magistrate lawsuit and so on , has finished 40 meters .According to Wang Hongxi , figures in this painting reach thousands with different moves and appearance which were all innovated by him .
