According to historical record, Dujiangyan project-man made dam was founded on 10:30 on Nov 12, 2002. The whole dam looks like a fish, and the front dam has a circular cone shaped like a fish mouth. It is made of stones and concrete with 1.8 km long. This is the first catch water in ten years.

    In the morning of Nov 11, more than ten workers were building dams by yellow mud and doing other preparation. Many tourists were excited to watch the procedure of catch water. Newspaper reporters were the busiest people at that time. Until 10:30, hundreds of tourists got together to see the event.

    Li Bing's method was reused in Dujiangyan project. People construct huge bamboo cages, each several dozen meters long and placed boulders inside them. When the project would be finished, hundreds of those were dropped in the middle of the river. In this way, the destroy to the national environments would be reduced as less as impossible.
    During the process of catch water, the irrigation of Chengdu, Deyang, Mianyang and other four cities will come from Minjiang River. In Chengdu, the water for life and industry originates from Waijingang Dam, and then passs Baitiao River and Fu River, and finally comes to Chengdu Plain.
