On Dec 7,2005, Ms. Zhang made a contribution of 15 books to Zhangyi Middle School.
On Dec 17,2005, Mrs. Huang made a contribution of some books to Qinghai's Dacai Middle School and Sichuan's Songhua Middle School.

Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences Donating 3,000 Books toYangguozhen Middle School

On september 19, 2005, was a wonderful day to all the students and teachers of Shaan’xi, Weinan City, Yangguozhen Middle School, because they received 3,000 books donated by the staff of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. Professor Zhou Jianming, Director of the Pacific Research School of Shanghai Academy Social Sciences and also advisor of Town and Talent, sponsored the donation. Professor Zhou visited regions of Shaan'xi, Weinan City, Yangguozhen, Gansu Gulang Yellow Sheep River, Tianzhu Xidatan, etc from July 27 and August 6.Zhou Yisu, son of professor Zhou, who is acting as teaching aid, has also contributed a lot to the donation.

To extend their appreciation for the donators, school has had a signing activity with the theme of ‘Away from Cyber Bar and Immersed in Books ’ to encourage the students to gain more knowledge by better using the books

Books are very rare resources for the schools in the West where a large number of books are badly needed to enrich the students’ extra-curriculum activities. Currently, promoted by Town and Talent, five member schools, Qinghai Huangzhong Dacai Middle School, Ningxia Zhangyi Middle School, Shan’xi Yangguo Town Middle School, Chengdu Songhua Middle School and Gansu Xidatan Middle School, have been open to the public. In the poor west region of China, children there almost have no reference books, extra-curriculum reading material, newspaper and magazines and textbook is the only thing they can read. The insufficient books in the small reading room are regarded as treasures and handed on by the children. Town and Talent is promoting the campaign of donating books to these children. It is expected that there will be more kind people to donate their books that can touch the soul of these children desiring for knowledge.
