Messenger of the Desert

Sand mustard can be seen everywhere on the Taole desert. The green creature will root deeply in the earth and stand steady in the heavy wind. Although the branches and leaves will be removed in May, it will grow new leaves and show its strong vitality. We are proud of you, sand mustard.

A Precious Treasure

Sand mustard is totally a precious thing that can bind the sand in desert. All parts of the sand mustard plant are valuable. The leaves can be used as detoxification medicine. And the roots can clear the lungs heat and cure cough. The sand mustard with other names like sand radish and sand cabbage is easy to cook. Taole people got richer and we are pleased that the sand mustard products are popular.

Helper of Getting Rich

It is said that we need to build roads well before getting prosperous. But I think we need to find some local special products that attract outside world and make hometown rich besides building roads. Our sand mustard is the particular thing that helps Taole people receive pure income by more than five thousand per family. Our new houses are built and new furniture bought, and our hometown appears a new atmosphere. It is easy to cook and delicious to eat. We really gratitude the sand mustard that helps us get rich.

Natural Vegetable in Desert

I learned much about sand mustard, a plant grows in the desert during this project of investigation. I admire the spirit of the sand mustard because it can grow well in the border of the Ordos Desert, in the poor condition. We visited the workshop and saw a large mount of sand mustard being processed to be nice food. The staff told me the delicious sand mustard also can be used as medicine. I believe that the sand mustard will be popular around the world in near future.
