The Fourth Red Army Martyrs Cemetery

The Red Army Martyrs Cemetery in Chuan-Shan Revolutionary Base Area located in Wang Ping Village Shaxi County Tongjiang Town which formerly known as Wang Ping Red Army Martyrs Tomb and first built in 1934; in 1985, it was approved by the provincial government to rename as "Wang Ping Martyrs Cemetery"; In Aug, 2002, it was approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs to rename as "Chuan-Shan Revolutionary Base Area Red Army Martyrs Cemetery." The Cemetery now has an area of 35 acres, protected areas of 1500 acres, and more than 7800 Red Army martyrs buried here. The cemetery is the only cemetery built by the Red Army for the Red Army martyrs, where the collective tombs of the Red Army martyrs were the country's largest and only collective tombs of the Red Army martyrs.
