Sayling's childhood was spent in an impoverished rural village in Taiwan in 1950s. It was a time of immense hardship marked by lighting oil lamps, catching glowworms, and fetching well water. He was the first one to develop computer in Taiwan when he was 23. in his fifties, he has already had the wealth amounted to 3 billion. Mr. Sayling Wen was not only an outstanding individual in the field of high-technology, but also a respected scholar holding dear one long-cherished dream.

Over the past decade Wen established himself as a prolific writer on a wide range of subjects. He had written about digital content, the economy and ways to improve one's English skills. He authored a number of books including Leader, The Future of Media, The Future of Education, The Future of Business, The Future of Enterprise, Internet Creates Wealth, and China and the New Economy. Prior to his passing, he was in the midst of assembling a new work of over a million words entitled The Bright Moon of the Qin Dynasty. That book was to feature numerous schools of philosophy in ancient China and was intended to spread the glory of Chinese culture throughout the world.

Meanwhile, Wen had taken a great interest in the mainland market, where he not only established production bases but also advocated popularizing the Internet in schools and took part in the development of Western China.
