Located in the margin of Tengger Desert and in the southeast of the city, Wuwei Park is 16 kilometers away from the downtown with the area of 7.95 million square meters. There are a lot of trees in the park which make it quite beautiful. It is a typical tourist area of the oasis in the desert. It was opened in 1987 and now it is classified the protecting area and educational base by the government of province, city and district.

 

　　There are a lot of scenic spots in the park including those of south style and those of desert characteristics. The viewing tower, square, pavilions, swimming pools are laid out orderly. While the botanical garden, amusement park, grape garden are quite attractive. There are modern facilities in the dining halls, villas, meeting rooms and teahouses. The park is famous as the first garden in the desert in China .
