Buddha Jiayang was born in a small village named “Wali”in Tibetan language, 12km away from Guide County in Qinghai Province. According to historical records, there were mainly two villages with 37 families and 135 people in 1747. They were administered by systems of tribes and had typical Tibetan customs.
When you come to the village, you will find that the houses here have typical characteristics: they are all closed houses with square shape, which is the basic housing in Guide County. The houses are like square seals from above. The walls of the houses are four to five meters high and 50-80 centimeters thick. There are houses and yards in the inner side. Besides the gate, there are houses in two or three directions. Buddha Jiayang was born just here. His parents are both industrious farmers, as well as his sister and three brothers.
