You will see a high white pagoda through a path in Guide County. That is Miena Pagoda, also named Guide Pagoda or Buddha Pagoda. It is said that there was a pearl under the pagoda which protected it from suffering from floods.

It was built around the Tang Dynasty. According to historical records, the fortieth emperors of Tibetan regime in ancient China built this pagoda and put his hair in it. In 1860, the pagoda was rebuilt with the roof gilded and became famous as “the first pagoda in Qinghai Province”. The pagoda is about 30 meters high and the base is square which is 18 meters of each side. In the Qing Dynasty under the reign of Kangxi, the Miena Temple was built here. When the sun shines, the roof the pagoda reflects the sunlight, where is a good place for people to have a visit.
