The Huangyuan first Higher Xiaoxue tang-Renowned in Gansu and Qingha
The Huangyuan First Higher Primary School(today's Chengguan First Primary School) is located in the north end of Dashizi,next to the north wall.
   The half-timbered school is orientated north and south with a amaranthine 6-stone-step-based gate in the southern end bordering the east street,and a walk in the middle,beside which lies the mail room.Inside the school there are a number of regular classrooms,besides,the teachers' dormitory、the teachers' office、storeroom、students' dormitory、students' dinning hall、teachers' dinning hall、target scoring office、library、exam room and stage also can be found there.In addition,the school is fitted with a playground-about 40 meters wide and 80 meters long.All these made it a little different from some other schools today.
   After combining five primary schools of Chengguan,the school,denominated the Huangyuan First Higher Primary School formally went into service in September,1920.Courses were mainly Chinese、maths、history、geography,and some others like music lessons and handwork lessons were also set.In 1922 the school was expanded into 7 classes with about 400 students and 10 teachers.Thence,the primary school education of Huangyuan opened the first page.
   In July,1947,based on the Huangyuan First Higher Primary School,the Qinghai Provincial Huangyuan Simple Normal School was reinstated and established with over 500 students、23 teachers and 8 classes.
   Combining the National Normal Second Primary School and the Chengguan Girl' s School in early September,1949,the school was given a new name-Huangyuan First Complete Primary School with over 450 students、15 teachers and 10 classes.
