In ancient China, out of the undeveloped science and technology, most of the people believed in Buddhism, hoping to achieve moksa. As a result, many places in the different dynasties of China were built up ancient temples by the rivers. In the tide of history, most of the temples have been destroyed, only Linjiang ancient temple was kept down for it was chiseled out together with the whole cliff. Few people came here for visit, instead, many people came here to worship the Buddha with burning incense. Entering the front gate of the hall, it was the chiseled Weituodian Hall, at the width of 1.6 meters and height 2.5 meters. |

Entering the mountain gate and turning right, followed by walking upward along the stone staircases, we found us in front of Baxian Cave. If turning left, we would pass by the figures of Blessing and Longevity, before which there often came some old women to worship, wishing for blessing and longevity. |
This hall integrated various of Divine beings of Chinese Buddhist culture, for the Bodhisattva Guanyin, sorts of figures of Buddhas and the sculptures took the duty of impartially protecting human beings, according to the opinions of the Buddhism. |

Right below the center of the temple was the chiseled Weituodian Hall, at the width of 1.6 meters and height 2.5 meter. On the plaque of the hall was the words of "The first building in Jialing" written by a famous calligrapher Song Hao. In the right middle of the hall, there was the stone carving of Weituo's figure, whose eyes focused on somewhere that looked very respectable. In the whole year there came different people to worship the Buddhas, hoping to gain spirit supports. |
