The theme of Internet EXPO
The theme: choosing the students attending Internet EXPO Time: 2007-9-2 People involved: Fu mingxiang and Pu haiying
Content: We should start to prepare the web page match of this year.
The topic this year is, same as that of the last year, to introduce
our folk art. Though we have the experience from the last match, we
also feel that this year we have a heacy burden. We should be more
careful to do this work and choose the active and careful students
to participate. Time: 2007-9-4 People involved: all members of the group Content: Through the teacher’s recommendation and our selecting, initially we decide 5 students as the candidates and hold a meeting this afternoon at the computer room. We introduce “International web page EXPO” and all the things needed to be cared. We also let them to review the last year webpage “Huangyuan Shehuo”, which surprised them a lot. They are interested in making the webpage, and said that they will work with all to fulfill this task.
Theme: the first interview Time: 2007-9-5 People involved: all members of the group
Content: Mr. Dang, the teacher from the county culture museum, will
come to our school to teach us to sing, so we have the chance to
interview with him. At 1:00, he arrived at our school, our
classmates meet him. At first, he have no idea about this
arrangement, with no documents at his hand, so he want to refuse it.
Under the persuasion of Mr. Fu, he agree to change the interview to
chat. As a old staff in the culture museum, he answer every
questions carefully and in details. He also talk about the origin
and the current condition of the lamp row. Furthermore, he agree to
contact the other staff who makes the lamp row for our students’
interview.
Theme: tasking designated Time: 2007-9-6 People involved: all members of the group Content: We all have a little knowledge about the lamp row through the details collected and interview and have our own feeling. For all some of us collect and select the information to join this activity with giving up their own study, who are really more busy than the others, they are very careful and time-saving. They save time for write the date in the computer room. One of us said in his date: Attending this activity is the one that I want to do, because I can enrich myself by this, and it may let me became an independent, confident, deciding people. Now I am in my way, I think I will try my best to do everything.” Theme: Interviewing with the paper cutting craftsman Time: 2007-9-14 People involved: all members of the group

to the coordination of Mr. Dang, we all have pleasure to interview
with one folk craftsman, Ms. Tian , who is very popular in the
county. At 9:00 in the morning , whole members of the group are
asked to meet at the school gate. The leader of the school stressed
this and send a car for us. It takes us half an hour to be there, as
not quite far. Ms. Tian is receive us in hospitality, asking us to
feel at home. She show us all her works. We all impressed by her
works, as they so vivid and delicate that we can’t believe they are
all done by the pair of scissors. She is very modest when we
appraised. She ask us to try. We are very happy to follow her
instructions. Our works looks not bad. But it is a pity that our
interview can only last 2 hours.
Theme: Interviewing with the painting craftsman Time: 2007-9-17 People involved: all members of the group Contents: Today we interview with one paining craftsman. This morning, we go to Mr. Duan’ family by car. He is an old staff in culture museum and good at painting, who is famous in the county as a painter. When we walk into his painting room, we can see that there are many works listed. He introduced to us one after another, most of them are the lamp picture, in which are legend story, three kingdom story and story of the waterside. He was awarded by the title fo “art celebrity”
Theme: Interviewing with the carpenter Time: 2007-9-18 People involved: all members of the group It is sunny today. This morning, we come to Huangyuan County again to meet one carpenter. It is said that his craft is superior, mainly craving some furniture and lamp row. When we arrive, he receive us warmly to his room. We see that the ground are full of timber crumbs, it seems to us that this more that 60-year-old man works everyday. He told us that the frame of the lamp row is quite difficult though it looks small, for every edge should be with the design. The design needs our carefulness and should be very careful when craving on the tiny bar or shall be broken if a little carelessness. Upon his introduction, we are all impressed by his other delicate samples.
Theme: Interviewing with the embroidery craftsman
Time:
2007-9-19 People involved: all members of the group Contents: Today we continue our interview to some women good at the embroidery in the culture museum. When we walk into the second floor corridor of the culture corridor, we meet some embroidery picture hang on the wall of both sides: chang’e image, Kwan-yin image and many other buddha image. What’s the most impressed is ring above the Kwan-yin, it is made by the gold thread and looks vivid, just like a colorful picture. By this, we are all urgent to see how is done. When we go into the studio, we can see some women works carefully and we even don’t want interrupt them. They say nothing but smile and sign us to sit down. We all sit around them to see the needles come and go, some of us can’t help to practice.
Theme: Interviewing end Time: 2007-9-20 People involved: all members of the group Contents: Four-day interview finished till today. We all learned a lot unexpected. With every interview with each craftsman, we all deeply impressed by their sophisticated skill. And their carefulness craft are worthy to learn, both students and teachers. After interview, we classmates are more confident with making the webpage.
Theme: expecting Time: 2007-9-21 People involved: all members of the group Contents: after interviews and preparation these days, our initial works are finished basically. Now our task is to prepare the details for the webpage making. The webpage making are the stranger to some students, so these days we just introduce the frontpage to let the students making some simple webpage and then finish the Huangyuan Lamp Row page all together. Theme: County director meeing with us Time: 2007-9-28 People involved: all members of the group Contents: Our joining the webpage match receive the leaders’ attention. As the national intangible material culture inheritage, Huangyuan Lamp Row is supposed to receive the public attention.jpg)
and protection, so the leaders give a strong support. This morning,
our master, Mr. Kui, contacted the county government for the
interview, Ma Yuying, the deputy- director agree the appointment.
We are very happy when hearing this. At 10:30 in the morning, Mr Ma
himself arrive at the school to have a meeting with us about this
activity. During the meeting, he express his support to publicize
the local culture by internet and his happiness to our classmates’
vigorous participating. We are very exciting when we talk about the
what we have learn these days. He also talk with us the lamp row’s
future and protection and inheritage steps adopted by the
