Competition rules
In Phoenix Boat Race, a group of female paddlers team must row together to move their elaborate boat at top speed. This traditional Chinese competition is an ideal springboard for a teamwork lesson. The standard competition is equipped with phoenix head, end, drummer, and paddlers.
Competition form
Similar to Dragon Boat, the competition of Phoenix Boat is divided into three categories.
Straight racing lance. The correct course for each boat is a straight ‘line’ down the course or down the middle of its marked Racing Lane, from the Start Line to the Finish Line. Crews are responsible for their steering and leave their Racing Lane, or deviate from their ‘line’ at their own risk. The length of the straight racing lane could be 250m, 500m, 800m or 1000m. it’s depended on the water condition.
Circular lanes. In the circular lane, the radius should not less than 50m and the straight part should not less than 500m.
Rally-ing. The rally-ing refers to the long-distance race in natural water field. The length could be 5000m, 8000m, 10,000m or even more than 10km.

Competition categories
1 girl’s group: the participants should be less than 16 years old.
2 young women’s group: the participants should be less than 18 years old.
3 adult women’s group: the participants should be less than 40 years old.
4 senior women’s group: the participants should be older than 40 years old.
